Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

The technology we use at Eastside Dental aids in treatment planning and makes your dental appointments run more smoothly. We can show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through your treatment plan because we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms.

Our goal is to provide dental care while also ensuring that patients are informed about their oral health. Dental technology aids us in this endeavour.

Digital X-Rays

Instead of traditional photographic X-ray film, digital X-rays use digital sensors. They generate highly detailed computer images of teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays give your dentist the ability to create a single image of your entire mouth. This is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), nasal & sinus structures, and so on. Panoramic x-rays are frequently used to aid in the planning of treatments for dentures, extractions, and implants.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners generate digital dental impressions. They provide an alternative to traditional dental impressions, which can be unpleasant and time-consuming. Within minutes, an intraoral scanner takes a digital image of your teeth using an optical scanning wand. This device allows your dentist to collect precise data to create digital replicas of your mouth's hard and soft tissues.

Intraoral scanners tend to be more precise than traditional impressions and can be used to more efficiently and accurately create restorations. They also help with orthodontic treatment planning and the creation of Invisalign clear aligners. Due to their efficiency, you may be able to start your Invisalign treatment sooner.
